Our dear friend and family member, Marc Veret, is facing the fight of his life. Marc needs a lung transplant, but complications with his heart are creating delays. Doctors recently discovered a blockage, and next Wednesday the medical team will decide if Marc will need a stent. If that procedure is required, he will need to wait another month before he can officially be listed for transplant. In the meantime, Marc’s condition continues to decline. He is now on 10 liters of oxygen daily, making it very difficult for him to work or live normally. If his oxygen needs increase further, he may have to remain in the hospital until a set of donor lungs becomes available. This battle is not only physically and emotionally exhausting—it has also placed a huge financial strain on Marc and his family. Along with the loss of income, the expenses continue to grow with frequent trips to Birmingham for testing, extended hospital visits, hotel or Airbnb stays, gas, and food costs. Through it all, we trust God’s plan and take comfort knowing that He has Marc in His hands. We believe that even in this valley, He is faithful, and we are so thankful for the love and support of this community. Your donation will go directly toward helping Marc cover living expenses, medical costs, and the added travel and lodging costs that come with this journey.
